We were so honored to be chosen as the winner of the Big Dog award in the 5th annual Bark + Build competition! We want to give a huge shout out to shm Architects for their amazing concept & design, and to our fearless leader Robert Hopson and our team for bringing the concept to life!
Four Green Gables ~ winner of the “Big Dog” award which is presented to the team that presents the best design for large dogs.
Almost as old as the act of building itself, the gable has become the quintessential roof form for “home” around the world. A gable roof’s triangular silhouette is not only delightfully symmetrical, but also serve the important purpose of shedding away rain efficiently. This entry features a cross-gabled roof set upon a sturdy platform with legs, a spacious wood-decked interior, and generous natural ventilation. It recalls the comforting shape of home and celebrates the craft of old-fashioned carpentry.

Design award winners’ work was the most popular among the more than 40 million monthly users on Houzz. Customer Service honors are based on several factors, including the number and quality of client reviews a professional received in 2017. Architecture and interior design photographers whose images were most popular are recognized with the Photography award. If you follow us on Facebook, you know we had a BLAST transforming a warehouse into two industrial chic houses in Dallas' famous design district last year. Check out our playhouses for Dallas Casa's charity event /
Over the summers of both 2017 and 2018, we partnered with our friends at Domiteaux + Baggett architects to build children's playhouses for Dallas Casa. The events were held at Northpark Center and featured on several major news outlets. At the event's closing parties, we were honored with a plaque for our support of Dallas Casa. Check out some pictures of the finished projects, the lucky playhouse winner in 2017 and our team and guests celebrating:
